Plymouth Music Zone is looking for a dynamic and hard working fundraising professional to join our committed and creative team.

Applicants need to demonstrate a proven track record in fundraising and marketing within the creative or charitable sectors. We are looking for a gifted storyteller with proven hands-on success with public funding, Trusts and Foundations, expertise in attracting voluntary income and in addition relationship fundraising.

In response to the current pandemic, we want an all-rounder who can focus in the first instance on applications to public funders and Trusts and Foundations.  Later aims are to develop voluntary income streams.  PMZ’s Development Director will be someone who has passion, creativity, humour, initiative and tenacity in equal measure.

Opportunity details:

Job title: Development Director

Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)

Overall purpose: To lead on the strategic development and implementation of all fundraising and marketing activities. This will include drafting funding bids, managing relationships with current supporters, developing new initiatives, identifying new prospects and generating new income from individuals.

Hours: Permanent and full-time based on 37.5 hours per week.
